Product Overview
This Requinto Romantico is handmade by Manuel Delgado here at our shop in Nashville, TN. It has a Sitka Spruce top, Palo Escrito (Rosewood) sides and back, Honduran Mahogany neck with maple reinforcement, rope binding, African Ebony bridge with bone saddle and tieblock, Ebony fingerboard, bone nut. It is designed so you can use nylon or steel strings.
It is a traditional instrument originating from Mexico. Quinto means fifth, so the tuning on this instrument would be like putting a capo on the fifth fret of a guitar, A to A.
Like all our instruments this one is professionally set up here at the shop to ensure intonation and great playability.
